Reducing our Carbon Footprint

As a small tree surgery company and carbon emissions at a all time high we have taken a small step in the right direction to start reducing our carbon footprint.

Going Electric

We all know despite the high volumes in road traffic, there are other machines that produce a lot of co2 gases such as hedge cutting equipment.

This is why we have recently purchased two Stihl battery powered hedge cutters in the hope to reduce our carbon emissions and the health of our operators and others which are around them.

Noise pollution

I recently tried these products out on my own hedge in my garden and was surprised to hear that these machines were so quiet and had no complaints from my neighbours even though it was quite late in the evening.

So overall, I’m very pleased that we have taken the right step to lowering our carbon footprint and that these machines will look after our operators and our environment while still producing the high quality work that we aim to achieve.

Cat Rescue

2019 – Back to work but not with out a cat rescue to end 2018.

J Beetham Tree and Garden Care received an unexpected call on Boxing Day, a residents cat in Rudyard, Staffordshire had been chased up a tree by a neighbours dog a few days before Christmas , unfortunately George the cat could not get himself back down again .

after a number of calls to the rspca , georges owner was desperate to get him back down and decided a tree surgeon was the best man for the job !

A couple of hours later , after George had decided to climb all the way to the top of the tree we gained his trust and with a few cat biscuits managed to secure him in a rope bag and lower him safely to the ground .

it was decided to let George out in the house as he was a scared rescue cat and the owner did not want a repeat incident .

george’s owner was extremely thankful and it was a nice way to end the year.

cat rescue anyone ?
